Matthew Potts is a lion-hearted fast bowler who hails from Durham in England's north. He impressed during his maiden Test summer against New Zealand and India in 2022 but he struggled for regular game time after that as he was pigeonholed as a bowler best suited to home conditions. That changed in 2024 when he played a Test in Pakistan (Multan) and New Zealand (Hamilton) but he went the entire 2025 summer without adding to his Test caps.
