Player Story
A former Under-19 England captain, Harry Brook made his Test debut in 2022 after averaging over 100 for Yorkshire in the County Championship. He thrashed Pakistan in his first Test tour, belting 153 in his second Test, 108 in his third and 111 in his fourth. A member of England’s T20 World Cup-winning side in 2022, Brook became a staple in all formats for the national side. His impact was negated somewhat during the 2023 Ashes campaign, managing four half-centuries in five Tests as England drew the series 2-2. In October 2024, Brook returned to Pakistan and joined an elite club by scoring 317 from 322 deliveries - the second-fastest triple century behind only Virender Sehwag. In 2025, Brook was installed as England’s white-ball captain, replacing Jos Buttler, after the team’s early exit from that year’s Champions Trophy.
