Player Story
A multi-talented athlete who represented her province in netball, athletics, biathlon and lifesaving, Kapp also became the first female cricketer alongside Dane van Niekerk to be included in the Eastern Province Cricket Academy where she trained alongside male cricketers. She has appeared for South Africa in all three forms of the game, making her international debut in the sixth match of the ICC Women's World Cup in 2009 against Australia. Her T20I debut was also against Australia in the T20 World Cup the same year. Across the 15 years that followed, Kapp built a reputation as one of the world's most threatening pace bowlers and all-round weapon with her middle-order batting. The fiery quick rises to the biggest occasions and has enjoyed tremendous success in the WBBL, playing a role in the Sydney Sixers' first two titles. After moving to Perth Scorchers, Kapp was player of the match in their WBBL|07 title triumph. These days, Kapp is a Melbourne Star after signing a three-year deal with the club ahead of WBBL|10.
